Dear me (person of little faith)

Remember that moment you fell in love with God? That day, your world changed. You changed. It felt like being in love, yet, on a much deeper level. The One who created the universe knows your name and wants to have a relationship with you. He is your Father and you are His child. Oh, the joy you had that day. Remember how the feeling of belonging somewhere felt like bursting out of your chest? Anyone in your company knew that something was different! And how could it not be? You were walking in fields of flowers, feeling the summer rain on your face. The light never dimmed inside of you, because it was too bright.

Every moment was a reason for worship. Every word an opportunity for a song to heaven. But one day, the stars in your eyes seemed to fade. You were like Peter. Being bold enough to step out onto the ocean, thinking that you might be different. You saw the storm and had to admit to yourself that your faith needed strength. Many storms have passed. Many pillows were wet with your tears. Many times it felt like your voice was giving in under the pleading and praying. From storm to storm, you tried to push through with your own strength. And now, you are walking around with shoulders too weak to bare all of the pressure.

Person of little faith – stop!!! And put that burden down!!! Your God, the One who you fell in love with that day, is beyond the limitations that you experience. Beyond the galaxies. Beyond His creation. Listen and listen closely! He is beyond your fears and your what-ifs. He is beyond anything that you can ever imagine. God does not doubt His ability to help you! He knows and believes that He is your redeemer! The question is: do you believe this? Where are the stars in your eyes? Why pray and then doubt? You are being tossed around by what you think you know. Yes, the mountains in your life are different sizes. The Goliaths in your life may not all look the same. You serve a God that is bigger than all of this!

I know that there were days you struggled to get out of bed. You wanted to push through with all your strength. Today – you are making the switch! The switch? Yes! You are switching your strength for God’s strength. For God has never ever expected you to push through on your own. He has been holding out His hand – leaving the 99 sheep and going after you. How about taking His hand today?

God was there for Moses. He was there for Daniel, for David, and for Peter too. In a world of disappointments, change, and heartache, God is as solid as a rock. Person of little faith, don’t you dare step off that rock! The waves are wild! The wind is threatening to take you off balance. Don’t you dare step off that rock!!

Open your windows! Tie back the curtains and listen to the morning. A promise from God’s heart that He is making everything new. Life has been wearing you down. You can feel your legs getting weaker with each step. Your face advertises your struggles! Take your baggage, go into prayer and give it to God! Now, when you close off your prayer, don’t you dare take it out of His hands again! Go and enjoy the morning. Allow the Lord to fill you with a joy that you will never be able to understand. Peace beyond comprehension. And a love that carries you through till the end. The end?

Yes, the day where God will personally wipe away every tear. All heartache will be forgotten and you will be able to meet your First Love face to face! Being in His glorious presence, enjoying eternity and freed from the past. Chin up! The road might seem long, but you are not walking it alone! Do you believe this? Do you believe that God will do as He promises? Do you believe Him when He says you are not an orphan? Do you grasp what His Son did on the cross? Stretch out your hand and take His. He will help you up, brush the dirt off and make you clean again. Stay starry eyes now – because your salvation is near!

    1. Dearest reader. Thank you for commenting. I am really glad you found it helpful. I was admitted to hospital for few weeks, but I’m back in the office and creating content again.
